Storage company, Store First, is set to launch a new centre in Barnsley as part of ongoing expansion plans.

Store First is preparing to open the new centre in Dearne Valley in late autumn, promising to create new jobs in the area and provide domestic and business customers with an affordable and convenient place to store goods.

Lancashire-based Store First, which already operates centres in Burnley and Blackburn and is due to open new branches in Rochdale, Liverpool and Knowsley later this year, is gearing up to continue expansion plans across Yorkshire.

Store First operations director Stuart Laverty said: “Barnsley is a thriving town and the new centre is in a fantastic location with great access from the M1 for customers across the region - we look forward to bringing plenty of jobs and a significant boost to the area, while providing the people and businesses of South Yorkshire with a great solution to their storage needs.”

Store First is looking at potential sites throughout Yorkshire to expand its business over the next two years.

In addition to storage, business customers will also benefit from boardroom and canteen facilities, free wifi, 24/7 state-of-the-art security and their own PO box address.

Storage pods will be available from as little as £1 per week for the first four weeks.
