Store First helps Secret Santa bring a smile to Blackburn
Store First Blackburn are delighted to announce that we will be a drop-off point for Blackburn's Secret Santa appeal for the second year running this Christmas.
Run by Phil Boulding, the appeal was set up to provide Christmas presents for underprivileged children across the borough of Blackburn and Darwen.
For the second year, we are acting as a drop-off point for presents to be donated to the appeal by kindhearted members of the public.
Secret Santa Ltd is a not-for-profit company which collects money and gifts all year round, to donate to children in need. Hundreds of presents are given deserving children across Blackburn and Darwen.
Once again, each child is set to receive their very own sack of presents to open on Christmas Day.
Secret Santa's goal for Christmas 2018 is to give 750 Blackburn and Darwen children a sack of goodies to open on Christmas morning.
Organiser Phil Boulding says: "We've been collecting throughout the year but this year we need close to 6,000 presents to be able to ensure that EVERY disadvantaged child in Blackburn and Darwen who interacts with children's services (so the poorest or most challenging environments) gets a sack of presents to open on Christmas day morning. The alternative? Oh that's an easy one. They get next to nothing :( But we CAN change that! :)
"We want to provide a sack of presents for 750 children this Xmas - please help us to reach this target!"
