Store First Hosts Successful Macmillan Coffee Morning to Raise Over £600 for Cancer Support

03 Oct 2024 –– Charity
Rochdale, Ellesmere Port and Brierfield teams host Macmillan Coffee Morning

Last week, Store First locations across the UK came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a series of Macmillan Coffee Mornings.

These events, held at our Brierfield, Ellesmere Port, and Rochdale stores, were filled with delicious cakes, freshly brewed coffee, tea, and even a fun tombola – all in the name of raising money for an incredible cause.

Cakes, coffee and a great cause

The Macmillan Coffee Morning is an annual event that brings people together to enjoy some sweet treats and hot drinks, all while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity dedicated to helping those affected by cancer. At Store First, we were thrilled to play our part by inviting customers, staff, and local communities to join us in this charitable initiative.

Our teams baked up a storm, offering a variety of cakes and bakes that satisfied everyone's sweet tooth. From classic Victoria sponges to mouth-watering brownies, there was something for everyone. Alongside the treats, guests enjoyed refreshing tea and coffee.

Store First Rochdale ran a jam-packed tombola at their event, with great prizes up for grabs. It was a fantastic way to get everyone involved while boosting their fundraising efforts.

How Much We Raised

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and contributed, we are thrilled to announce that we raised an impressive £648 across the three locations:

  • Brierfield: £303.00
  • Ellesmere Port: £145
  • Rochdale: £174.00

All donations will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping fund vital services for people living with cancer and their families. A big thank you to everyone that bought cakes and joined in the morning, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our staff, customers, and visitors.
